Quick Biography

Feanor was a prince of the Noldor, eldest and most beloved son of Finwë. He had the greatest skill of word and hand, a renowned craftsman, gem-smith, and warrior. Fëanor created the Silmarils, which was his most famous deed, and also wrought the palantíri and the Fëanorian lamps. In addition, he invented the widely-used Tengwar script. His passionate hatred of Morgoth and terrible oath led directly to the great triumphs and tragedies of the First Age. More here.

Ridiculously tall, dark haired and slender as most elves are expected to be.

For Fëanor was made the mightiest in all parts of body and mind: in valour, in endurance, in beauty, in understanding, in skill, in strength and subtlety alike: of all the Children of Ilúvatar, and a bright flame was in him. - and he's pretty damn convinced of it too. Proud like he invented the concept, stubborn like his life depends on it, hard headed like it's his job. On the up side, he's also loyal to the death to those he loves - and very dedicated to everything he undertakes. Simply enough, he's willing to argue everything to death - and he just isn't used to losing. He loved his wife - but never really got who she was, and loved his sons, but in a harsh and undemonstrative way. He alas also played favorites, with the disastrous consequences we know. Generally, Feanor doesn't take no for an answer and doesn't accept to be contradicted. As for authority? Ah! He invented it. And will keep on claiming it until he runs out of breath.

2013 update

Feanor - I'm barely letting him out. Morgoth killed his wife. And his sons. AND STILL HE HAS NO SHINY. You have no idea how PISSY he is. I can barely meta without capslocking, so… yeah. Er. He's tried to harp at Saetan. That's about it since the Carpocalypse.

In 2010

As expected, there was some WTFage at what the boyos have been doing. Feanor's key achievements so far include:

He's been mostly a recluse, locked up while making war plans and directing the construction of his new forge, which he tasked Curufin with. He's also quite worried that three of his seven sons have disappeared and suspects the dragon Iskierka of having something to do with it, despite her claims of having defeated Morgoth and being on the good side.

Surprisingly, this may be the first time that he and Fingon are in agreement about something. He had a chat with Fingon which was surprisingly civil - and Fingon and he seem to have found a way to cooperate, zomg. They seem to have come to a separation of power, wherein Feanor coordinates the war effort within the Eldar faction, and Fingon is stuck doing PR with humans. Feanor considers that he got the better part of the deal, aside for the part where he apparently has to babysit Maeglin.

Further interactions include:

  • Meeting Agravain and almost killing him, were it not for Gabrielle's intervention;
  • Having strange interaction with Armand St-Just, who remembers being adopted by Feanor, something which the High King will deny to his incineration.
  • Meeting asato (lamento) and not knowing what to do with him.
  • Being slowly convinced that asato tsuzuki can be a trusted and powerful ally against Morgoth.
  • Being eventually reunited with Caranthir, Celegorm and Curufin while fighting a big-ass preying mantis;
  • Gaining an eneny in Lia de Beaumont after a violent altercation with Maximilien which ended bloodily for Max and warranted a muscled intervention by Galadriel.
  • Gaining a pet in Gunji, the only person so far that he has appreciated on sight. This says a lot about Feanor.
  • Briefing Hisoka Kurosaki on the matter of Morgoth, Sauron, and Draugluin.
  • Snogging Nerdanel as often as possible.
  • Gaining an ally in Parsifal.
