Quick Biography

Duke Crocker (b. Spring 1975) is the grandson of Roy Crocker, the son of Simon Crocker, the estranged half-brother of Wade Crocker, and has an unnamed older brother. All are deceased. He is also the father of Jean Mitchell (by Beatrice Mitchell), who he has never met.

A resident of Haven, Maine, he owns the cargo boat, Cape Rouge, as well as the Grey Gull waterfront bar. He has also been a smuggler.

He reads Japanese, and speaks Russian. Duke grew up with Nathan Wuornos, as well as Bill and Jeff McShaw, and Julia Carr.

He's a Bhuddist. More or less.

Physical Abilities

Aside from his Trouble, he's a normal guy. He does have street smarts, and he's good in a fight. He can handle a large boat, and manage a business/bar.

Superhuman Abilities

Haven, ME and it's residents are plagued with what's called the Troubles. The Troubles is manifested differently for each family, and some don't have any at all. Duke's Trouble can end lineal afflictions by killing Troubled person. (If he kills someone, their Trouble no longer affects their family line.) He acquires short-lived superhuman strength if he absorbs the blood of Troubled person through skin, and his eyes turn silver/white. It is unlikely his Trouble will manifest at the Mansion.

Unusual or Magical Possessions

Duke is tall with dark hair and facial hair. He is left-handed. He wears several tattoos, including one on the inside of his left bicep that reads "Don't go where the path may lead you, but instead go where there is no path and leave a trail behind you." PB is Eric Balfour.

Duke Crocker is the resident bad boy of the town who lives on a boat in the harbor. He is known for smuggling in illegal contraband, and has a "rap sheet" (a criminal record) going back a long way.

Since childhood, he and Nathan Wouros have been strong rivals, him often making snide comments at Nathan such as 'not a real boy' and the like. Over the course of the series, the two men actually become closer to friends than enemies.

He has shown to have quite the ego and be a womanizer. However, he's also been shown to care deeply for his friends and seems to care about Audrey Parker, despite the fact she is a cop.

He is a charming yet mysterious jack-of-all-trades. Though Duke outwardly appears to be a free spirit who lives an unobtrusive life on his boat or, at worse, a con man, he's actually an upstanding guy who's committed to his friends.
